During my time unemployed so far, I have invited new energy, new people, new experiences, new views and I have prioritized self care.

But sometimes a girl needs some retail therapy to help her remain optimistic! And with severance ending the struggle is real.

So I got creative (and desperate). I looked into all my credit cards with rewards programs and decided AMEX had the best options for gifting myself. I bought (my points bought) an awesome new coffee machine I always wanted. I got to indulge in my shopping addiction and my friends and family got to enjoy a good cup of coffee. I’ll call that a win in navigating unemployment!
